words

it’s truly amazing

how words can have

a vastly different effect,

depending on how they are expressed.

typed words

are planned and pristine

and organized and memorized.

handwritten words

are heartfelt and messy

and scattered and confused.

spoken words

are awkward and disjointed

and forever

and not-what-i-meant-to-say

but every word

holds a spark and a power,

that i’ve found in few other things.

and every word means something.
