Storybook

I’m just sitting here,

laptop on knee,

thinking about experiences

and contemplating what will happen next…

in the story of my life.

My life is a storybook.

With every page I turn, there’s a new surprise.

The pages are not filled with handsome princes

and carriage rides, however.

They are filled with good people and bad people

and happy memories and sad regrets and disappointments

and treasures.

But one thing my life and a storybook do have in common

is that with every new chapter there is a new beginning,

and with every new beginning

there is a chance to change things up and make them better this time.

Make it a story worth reading.
